selfshield

Introduction

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Ministry of Sri Lanka launched the ‘Self Shield’ mobile application to help the public monitor their health and seek medical assistance if needed. The app, developed in collaboration with the Health Informatics Society of Sri Lanka (HISSL) and the Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health (CWCDH), allows users to assess their health condition within minutes and connects them with the Ministry’s COVID-19 program for further medical guidance.

DevUpLink’s Role in the Project

DevUpLink (Pvt) Ltd played a pivotal role in the success of the Self-Shield app by developing the iOS and Android versions, incorporating advanced AI technology to analyze health data, and creating a comprehensive analytics dashboard for healthcare professionals. Additionally, DevUpLink ensured the app was scalable, secure, and compliant with international privacy regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR. Undertaken as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the project exemplifies DevUpLink’s commitment to leveraging technology for the health and well-being of Sri Lankan citizens.
